Bridging scientific research and primary care to support personalized, scalable prevention strategies based on physical exercise.
What is TEIDe
TEIDe was created to address one of the key challenges of ageing: identifying the risk of cognitive decline at an early stage and translating scientific evidence on the role of exercise in cognitive health into practical tools for clinical care.
The project brings together scientific, clinical, and operational expertise to develop prevention strategies that are more precise and feasible in real-world primary care settings.
Our vision
The approach
TEIDe is built on four key principles that guide the project and shape its vision, research, and practical application.
To act more promptly and support earlier and more accurate identification of dementia risk.
01.
To adapt physical exercise-based interventions to each person’s individual characteristics.
02.
To turn scientific research into tools that can truly be used in primary healthcare and across different care settings.
03.
To recognize the experience and needs of people with dementia and their families throughout the prevention pathway.
04.
The Consortium
The Consortium brings together 9 partners from 8 countries – Spain, Norway, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Romania, the USA, and Canada – combining expertise from academia, healthcare, industry, and organizations. The aim is to support world-class research and foster personalized interventions.
International collaborations: Canada and the United States
Scientific coordination of the project: Spain
Partner countries: Germany, Italy, Norway, Romania, Slovakia
The partners
TEIDe brings together partners from different fields and countries, combining research, healthcare, innovation, and people’s involvement in one multidisciplinary collaboration.

TEIDe For…
TEIDe involves people, professionals, and organizations that, from different yet complementary perspectives, can contribute to the prevention of cognitive decline.
This plurality of perspectives is an integral part of the project and strengthens its scientific, clinical, and social relevance.
Research & Innovation
TEIDe draws on data, clinical studies, and scientific evidence to support exercise-based approaches to preventing cognitive decline.
